Stihl Vibration Figures

Might be of use to someone given recent discussion on vibration - a copy of Stihl's vibration level spreadsheet. It's a few years old, but was done when they had to start providing figures It does not include the 4Mix engines, but may of use when comparing / buying etc older machines. I will try and get the most up to date from a contact (Stihl's HQ is local to us). It's worth pointing out that other issues (o/s of makers control) massively effect the levels - Stance/grip Weather Out of balance strimmer heads or misloaded spools Damaged blades Badly maintained engines and mounts (worth watching when buying 2nd hand) Dinged or 'bent' shafts (from poor handling/loading in vans etc)

    Also check out www.stihl.com/vib which includes a wealth of information on vibration levels for all Stihl tools as well as a down-loadable spreadsheet you can add other makes of tool to in order to compare.

    This is very useful when working out purchases for new equipment and detailing it on risk assesments.
