Visit the CPSC Website for more information."
It is unclear if it affects any UK or EU models as I do not know how Stihl GB alerts its users when they have product faults.
The CPSC website makes interesting reading and clearly in the US they are much more "pro-active" at notifying users of faults.
Would be interested to hear if any faults were ever lodged against the 'twist & clip' fuel caps that fail regularly :(

3 x Twist clip cap fairlures on KM90R in 2 years.
1 x on MS181 in 9 months
3 x on FS90 2 years ago.
Dealer confirmed they go regularly - and in all cases, its the plastic nibs wearing off, or the spring/plascic breaking in the middle, and in most cases they fail when in storage, in cold weather. Only 1 failed when being handled.
Dealers words - Complain to Stihl, you might get told where to stick it if your lucky!
Screw caps - simple, effective, and logical, for 200 years.... and counting....
Screw caps have been replaced on pretty much every stihl tool apart from chainsaws by the black twist caps.
