KM as in petrol machine Peter ?
I seem to remember once having a short but handy extension pole for a Stihl kombi engine for a hedge cutter which was left over by chance after I purchased another Stihl tool , It was about a foot long but I just cannot remember how it configured but it was a straight forward connection ,Sorry I just cannot remember other than it vanished after my van was robbed .
Extension poles are generally inexpensive to buy for the value they add .
Don't follow my example though I once had a mad idea to cobble together two long extension poles belonging to a non Stihl kombi engine because I couldn't be bothered getting the ladder off the van which was parked some distance from the job .
Ended up with a very unweildy hedge trimmer which refused to operate and resulted in the engine overheating and plastic melting with smoke coming out even after it was turned off and refused to start ever again , Had to abandon the job and return with a new hedge trimmer and most importantly a ladder .
I considered myself an absolute idiot .
