Spraying in Hot Weather

After all the wet weather when couldn't spray now hot weather and problems with evaporation ...

Do you all just carry on spraying weeds with diminished results or withhold until temperatures are more favourable ?

  • Hi Andrew, I've been spraying, I know what you mean about evaporation, but I'm so far behind with spraying lawns, weeds etc.....I thought what the hell we may only have this one dry week!

I try to get the spraying done either end of the day when it's slightly cooler.

Nice to have a dry week though!

    Sue

  • You have got to take this opportunity to get caught up with the spraying - we, too, are way behind.  Roundup pro-biactive, for example, has an adjuvant that accelerates absorption so evaporation should be minimal.  Not sure about other chemicals but we have just been making the most of the dry spells.

This has been an awful year for spraying!
