i have just seen this one on ebay any thoughts ?
Hi there, I know this is a couple of months old.
Did you have any luck with the recommended soil test kit?
I have been reading on the Palintest website and wondering if these are worth a look at?
They provide two kits. The first is Soil pH and lime test approx 50 test. £82.
The second is the Soil fertility kit pH,Lime,NPK 50 test for a staggering £273 pounds!
Would the Palintest be any better than the already mentioned ebay test kits or would these give a much more professional soil analysis?
They even do a soil management kit for £550 and A professional Soil Management kit for a stagering £1500. It does include a photo meter which does make the tests less subjective than the old age of little pH paper.

It seems awfully expensive to buy ?
hmmm.
Yes it is terribly expensive to buy. I know.
Benjamin, did you have any luck with purchasing pH and NPK kits back in Jan? If so which did you buy and how accurate do you find the results??
It wouldn't be cost effective to use a kit on every lawn I did a survey. So I have toyed with the idea of buying Soil pH Meter to do ph reading on lawns that I am out surveying.
I do a lot of soil testing on Bowling greens and large lawns , Bowling Green i charge £30 per green from the results i set the club up with a 12 month fertiliser programme , to do this programme for 12 months becames another cost to the club and you can provide the fertiliser to the club and other services ,
I hope you at least take a soil core sample Robbie?
