Would not put a Acer in full sun, South facing, bar Osaka Zuki, the answer will normally be burnt leaves.
How big are the pots? Are you talking Tree of possibly Shrub?
Possible answer, a multi stemmed Acacia (mimosa) Evergreen, fairly hardy (We bought 80 through this Winter), very nice foliage, yellow flowers in March.
maybe acacia i hadnt thought of that and they are attractive i agree, although i thought they may be a bit tender but if you havent had too many probs it may be a go'er !
the pot can be any size really not too big though but big enough to allow for a decent bit of root movement. what do you think of cercis canadensis or the silaquestrium in a pot ?
im not in the habit of planting trees in pots really because it can be risky a tallish tree like shrub could be another option . thanks
