Seeding and over-seeding

Picked up a few clients recently, quite big gardens to either overseed or totally re-seed. Largest is 3000m2. Dont have a lot of budget for equipment but suggestuions would be great as it is just not coming out of my pedestrian rotary spreader

thanks

Ian

Reseeding and overseeding - slightly different processes and principles - be interested to know the reasons why this is necessary before commenting further.

We can do both - especially on this scale as we have the compact tractor mounted 1.5 metre Stocks seed drill that can be calibrated to reseed/overseed as required.

All depends on grounds conditions, customers budget and expectations. IE has the existing area been weedkilled rotovated, levelled, rolled properly etc.

Again we have the kit to do this but it all takes time and costs money!

Don't take this the wrong way Ian, but I understand that you are just starting out in business, especially with the lawn care side of things - you may be best finding your feet first on domestic size areas before committing to such large scale areas as indicated above. To purchase a tractor similar to ours and to get another custom built seeder made would could you in the region of £8000 and hence it is charged out accordingly!

    Hi Ian,

Have you thought about hiring equipment e.g a multiseeder from your local rental company?
If you don't have many bigger jobs lined up, then it will save your a lot of time and money :)
