Hi Guys, I do garden maintenance mainly domestic, but one of my clients has asked if I be interested in tending a quote for a factory he manages.

While it would be nice to move up a notch, not talking buying ride on mowers, however theres a whole load of legal issues I need to submit.

I obviously have Public liability insurance 5m, but the quote is asking I submit these., presume its standard practice for working commercially. can anyone give is advice or example.

Risk Assessments

Methods of Statements

Health And Safety Policy Statement, COSHH assessments for herbicides.

This is all new to me suppose once I see one, its probably common sense, just don't want to look at total duck egg to my exisiting client.

There are complete RAMS documents, including pesticides in the BOG's download section : http://landscapejuicenetwork.com/group/the-bog/downloads

    Also see : http://landscapejuicenetwork.com/forum/topics/rams

    • cheers Gary what does RAMS  and BOG stand for?

      • PRO

"RAMS" is short hand for "Risk Assessment / Method Statements" - a general term/requirement for commercial contracts.

The BOG is LJN's Business Objective Group (see home page descriptions/links).

So looks like a payment through direct debit, BUT would I not have to pay by card? to get assess to the forms straightaway, confused

                  • PRO

No, you fill in a direct debit form, I get notification and your account is switched over and you are sent the BOG access link. Payment is taken one week later.
