I have a Stiga Park Pro. Amazing machine excellent finish fast great on hills strongly made been reliable so far (touch wood). I cant comment on the others but the Husky is a rear steer so you will bang the back into things whereas the Stiga is articulated so the front and rear wheels run along the same path.
Good point about the rear steering Seth,I hadn't considered that although there is plenty of room on the big open lawns that I have in mind.
If you have a local dealer, get a demo on a Hustler zero turn.... extremely well made machines and leave a great finish. Local dealer has sold lots with great feedback from contractors.
Will look into them,thanks.
Check out Toro Titan. Had one on fleet for six years, no major problems. Used weekly in churchyards very tight turns amongst headstones.
Used on large commercial and residential lawns as well. Even has a towing eye for pulling a Henchman barrow for 40m3 of mulching in winter!
Looks a good machine but a bit over my budget,is it a petrol engine?
Thanks
For £6k inc vat I assume you are talking second-hand, given the Stiga model you mention. I am always very wary of buying used. I sold my previous Stiga privately and it turned up on eBay having been 'clocked'. They fitted a new hour meter and thus wiped several hundred hours off the machine and increased value significantly.
The Stiga dealers will always do a very good discount on new. I have a Stiga 740 PWX, which is a very good machine. V-twin engine, four wheel drive and power steering etc. They are currently on offer with a 110 combi deck for £6199 Inc. I can recommend them, I have had three and they have been worked hard and proved reliable. A good dealer will usually better the Stiga offers advertised.
They mulch very well, particularly if you are mowing weekly. But then even if the grass is longer and some clippings are still visible, a second faster run over with the electric deck set higher and the remaining grass disappears completely. A second 'fast' run over is still a big time saving over grass collection, on most jobs. Mostly you will not need to do this, but it is the answer to the spring growth.
Hi Vic,both the Toro and Husqvarna are under £6K and I wouldn't mind paying a little bit more on the stiga. Need to find a dealer where I can demo one.Cheers.
How will you transport these mowers? In a trailer or will they fit in the back of a van?
Hi Nick - Will be using it with our trailer,it has the drop down loading ramp.Thanks.
