Hi
Lime bond, silver sand and snowcrete...... sets like rock.
Another option is K-rend this is an expensive product but available in an array of colours.
Does it have to be a white coloured render or are you looking for a render to be painted white?
I have used the first method Kerry has used and it worked well.
If its not a damp or shady area then K-rend or other monocouche are good. If it is shady at all use a normal mix like Kerry suggested. In my experience and a few plasterers i know k-rend etc have a tendancy to get green with algae.
Another option is Sto render. http://www.sto.co.uk/
Featured on Grand Designs a while ago maybe expensive.
