Thats crazy, but so true ive seen it happen over here in wales, so many time, the local police do have a crack down every now again, but unforntunaly its not enough to keep them away =[
Dave thats terrible, I'm sure your gutted, it annoys me how its not even safe to have something ornamental in your garden as it may be stolen, let alone someone attempting to get into your shed
A friend came to site the other day to collect some paperwork. I walked to the other side of the site, machinery still in view, the next time I looked up, he was walking away with the hedge trimmer, I double took and my heart left my mouth as I could see it disappearing down the other end of the site. Thank god it was him, I won't leave my machinery on view or even out for other s to see and take again
you did get your trimmer back didnt you!?
As for the loss - its the little webb mower I miss - 50 year old, and looked good with some climbing beans growing over it, and lavender behind - really was my little feature - but to some Pikey it was £3 of steel.
Just take all the precautions you can:)

Indeed. There's a lot of unsavoury people out there. I was suprised a few weeks ago to go to work at 6.30am to find my van being held up on bricks and that someone had stolen my two front wheels in the night.
They were original bog standard Ford wheels on a 55 plate van, although they did have two new tyres, what are they really worth?
Ended up costing me a days work and £130 for two new wheels and locking nuts, and of course, some sleepless nights since trying to act as neighbourhood watch.
