    Hi Rob,

There are two Tributes MAPP 12864 & 1386, these products however are no longer available for sale but do have a use up period until June 2015.

ACTIVES FOR TRIBUTE & TRIBUTE PLUS were as follows : 252g/l MCPA,18g/l dicamba & 42g/l mecoprop-p Tribute.(Tribute MAPP 13864 - approved for use in managed amenity turf.  Tribute Plus MAPP13865 - approved for use amenity grassland, grassland, green cover on land not being used for crop production, managed amenity turf)

ACTIVES FOR HEADLAND RELAY P are slightly different 200g/lt mecoprop-p + 200g/lt MCPA + 25g/lt dicamba (Headland Relay P - MAPP 08580 approved for amenity grassland, grassland, managed amenity turf)

As you can see the actives are the same but have a slightly different balance - but their weed control spectrum will be very comparable - so in answer to your question pretty much the same - but not identical.

The links below will take you to the product labels which will give you more information if you want it on the specific weeds the manufacturers claim are controlled

For control of some more difficult species (eg Slender Speedwell or Creeping Buttercup) you may want to consider Polax which has the following active ingredients - 80g/l clopyralid, 2.5g/l florasulam and 100g/l fluroxypyr

For your info the alternative that has been launched as a replacement to Tribute is called Dicophar again with the slightly different actives 70g/lt 2-4D, 70g/lt MCPA, 42g/lt MCPP-P, 20g/lt dicamba

Sorry but thought it would be too long to list all the comparable weeds etc. but happy to chat through the pros and cons if you want. Sorry it's a bit long winded even without the list!

    Cheers,

    Louise

  • yes i use relay-p and sometimes a few weeds it does not work on in amenity lawns, so wondered if pastor may work better or after as a secondary guarantee..?

  • Hi Gardens!

Relay-P is fine for Amenity Lawns, but Pastor isn't! Pastor only has approval for Agricultural Grassland unfortunately.

Depitox can be used on Amenity Lawns, and can be good on some of the weeds that Relay misses.

Give me a call if you want to discuss this further, 0800 133 7849

    Cheers Ollie
