if its red thread some leaves will have a brown to orange tinge on them. All it means is a nitrogen deffisonary a small dose of a low nitrogen feed will cure problems thanks ken kls landscapes
Turn the sprinklers off! If it is red thead. the miosture and humidity won't help. Nitrogen will help them grow out of it and iron will toughen the grass, so a fertilizer with moss control should help.
As Tim says, the watering schedule is undoing your efforts.
We advise morning watering for red thread prone lawns. Is it needed at all at this time of year?
You may have already done so, but check the sharpness of your blades. Dull blades damage grass tips to make the plant more susceptible.
From that point, a light feed should be all it needs to help it grow out.
Thanks very much all of you for your advice. I'm going to hollow tine aerate then feed. Will advise the customer to change their irrigation schedule.
