There's something telling when reading those two statements in context. With an app for this and and app for that and more powerful communication and computing capabilities we are always going to see more accurate reporting. Personally I just don't trust and data that was compiled in 1659.
Only this week, scientists have - using a radio telescope located in 10 different locations on one continent - have pinpointed the planet Saturn's location to within one mile. Call me cynical but Saturn's always been there but man's capabilities to measure things has increased enormously since astronomy began.
Going back to plants flowering early. In all my working life - spanning c36years in horticulture - I have seen unusual patterns caused by extraordinary weather. We are getting too hung up on climate. It will ebb and flow and we must adapt.
