Q. for Nissan Cabstar owners

Just hopeing any Nissan Cabstar owners might be able to answer a question I have:

 

On the back of the cab, drivers side is a white fluid container. Could anyone tell me what this is meant for (coolant?) and also the thin white tube that comes off it - is that meant to hook up to something else?

 

I have just purchased a 2002 model and noticed the tube doens't seem to be connected to anything!

    Yes, I think it's the expansion tank and the hose is the overflow should it overheat.

    Hi Andy

    I had a 2005 cabstar.

    It is the water tank for the engine and the small pipe hanging off is DEFINATELY an over flow pipe. Just so you dont over fill the tank.

    Dont forget to put a little antifreeze in there too.
