  • I am assuming you have your own sprayer and that you have  had the practical PA6 day and this is the test day.

As stated maths is logical if you take your time.

To build confidence this is what I did day previous to test.

Go out and do a couple of  practicals  on your own.

    Calibrate the sprayer .

Prepare to spray say a 200 sq metre patch with roundup or similar, you don't need to use roundup, on the test day it will probably be coloured water, but lets you get quantities right.

Measure out pesticide , water etc, don' t forget ppe.

    Then actually do it.

Take your time if you can do it at home you can do it on the day.

Nothing breeds confidence like succesful practice.

    Good Luck

Watch out for a little trick they often play on you when showing you know how dismantle a sprayer to check for blockages etc.

If you get asked to undo the 1bar pressure regulator on the end of a lance (certainly on a CP sprayer), remember it CAN STILL BE under positive pressure.

As you undo it will spray everywhere and over you. Fine during the test as its only water, but you will get marked down. Rememeber to discharge pressure by spraying out....

  • think im ok on the calibration sheet now ive looked over it .

its the rest and the questions im worried about ....

Just think "common & safe" sense.

as rob said they are there more to pass you than not its just to show your compatant and are not going to go out and od an area or poison your self and others etc by useing the equipment incorrectly and the questions as gary said are more commen sence than anything like why you would use traceing solutions etc keep looking over your reserch stuff and you will be fine

Stop looking at it as a complicated maths test. Just follow the Cal sheet, and it will flow through to the answer. Look at the labels, and just read them as if they are a recipe, with cooking instructions.

Relax, you just need to show that you are proficient in the use and aplication of chemicals. They are actually there to pass you, not fail you.

  • tracing solutions ?

Spray dye (so you can see where you've been)
