Hi Daniel,
I would put a link to your website in your post
http://www.dclandscapes.com/
In your header, top of the page (meta-tag) you have 'contruction' which of course appears on 'google'.
There are some really nice photos on your site, but how about some with you & .. in action.
In your about us page, methinks you should include your name, abit about you wouldn't go amiss, eg are you a local lad.
I think it is worthy saying the gardens will be kept 'pristine' but opens you to a fall, how do you judge it, your view or the customers.
Words like we 'strive' or 'endeavour' to give you a perfect garden, leaves room for storms, force majeur,, etc
design you may want could be design that you desire
I'd put your phone number & name on every page, prominently.
Contact Daniel now to arrange a free visit to discuss your garden ideas.
ps of course you need the green tick as well
Other than what others have said
Where are you based, local towns & villages listed on your site help to get you up google
Daniel, a good website, other than the above comments. Why seperate commercial and domsetic work? Seems like you only do tree pruning and hedge cutting if it is domestic? and only leaf clearing, weeding, planting etc if commercial?
Sorry if this sounds silly, but instead of having 3 headers - landscaping, commercial, domestic, why not have 2 and say landscaping, commercial and domestic and then group all the commercial and domestic jobs you do together.
Perhaps you have done this purposely because you are cherry picking your domestic jobs, in which case sorry if im wasting your time.
on contact us page 'only to happy to provide' should have a double 'o' as in 'only too happy to provide''
I'll have to look at getting some nice quality photographs of myself or Chris doing some gardening, don't normally have the camera handy when working - but I will!
I've taken on board comments with regards to grammar etc. and have made a couple of small, quick changes. I will spend a little time adding a few of the others and updating relevant sections. I plan on adding a few more pages, if I can keep the balance of the site OK, with regards to maps of the areas we work etc. And I need to get a gallery running - having trouble with that one. Anything I add currently doesn't look how I want it to.
Lloyd. The main reason, daft as it may be, for seperating out domestic and commercial was to keep three headers as it fitted how the page design is set out. Without being too technical they are comprised of DIV's with a CSS controlling them, they are the same on each page with common formatting rules. I'll have a play and see if I can't change that a little too. I put the original site out in a hurry and intended on revisiting it sooner - but it slipped further and further down my to do list! :)
Thanks so far guys - very helpful! Gotta love this forum! (And of course the green tick will be making an appearance on the site!)
Hi Daniel,
Get someone with a steady hand to take some pictures in your own garden or your parents etc
The brief, you & Chris are happy, competent gardeners/ landscapers, clean& tidy, so any punter would be equally happy to have you in their garden working for you.
I know what you mean about doing the website changes & maintenance, ours www.asking4gardening.co.uk also needs a lot of work, too much text!

Sue, my areas are Design, Construction and maintenance and I do intend on having more in depth pages to go with each of these, as I said I am chasing an old rushed page ;)
