New Zealand

This is really aimed at people outwith the bind of self-employment.There is a chain of garden centres on the North Island of New Zealand that offer 8 - month sabbaticals working at one of their centres during the southern hemisphere Spring and Summer (basically from September) I did this a few years ago and had a fantastic experience, learning a lot about the local flora (and a bit about the fauna!).Great people, stunning scenery and the opportunity to stay on if that's what you want to do!Link to their site is here.If anyone has any questions I'd be glad to answer them as best I can.

  • Thanks Nick for that. I have sent on an email as one or two of my students may be interested.
  • No problem Ena - if your students need any more info or a bit of background on the company or place, just pass on my email found on my page or website
