With the majority of the bad weather hopefully now past
the new season kicking in
Is the work rolling in or not
with myself landscaping inquiries are slow and prices i seem to be up against are a little cut throat
on the other hand garden maintenance lots of Inquiries from customers new and old decent rates and hardly any haggling or tendering against others
Not sure which way it's going to go this year

  • The domestic market (Design and build) is thriving for me at the moment.. stacked up, in fact possibly to much but I won't complain..

  • Maintenance here, very busy, been busy for 6 weeks now.

Last year i didnt take anyone on till end of April, new bloke been with me a month.
  • We just undertake landscaping projects and we are flat out. Currently we are booked until the middle of June with more enquiries coming in daily. I'm generally looking at about 10 jobs a week, most of them being 1-3 weeks work.
  • Maintenance very busy lots of new enquirys rates not bad
  • Not sure what advertising you do Kieran, but once I got to your stage, we cut the advertising and relied on recommendation. A lot less to price and a much healthier price/acceptance ratio - breathe!!

  • Iv just moved to Milton Keynes so for this year it's advertising all year round for this year at least. Mainly trying to get the name out there. Tbh we advertise in 2 local magazines that go solely to ab readers, our website and about 5 flyers went out at the start of march to houses were the magazines get delivered to high ten brand awareness.

A little off topic but how did you find the move / establishing yourself in another area
we are moving in may and it's a little to far to travel back to my existing location long term
my aim is to keep the work i have and travel until I get established within my new boundaries
how did you get your name about

last time i relocated i moved back to a area where i was known and the transformation was quick thro contacting old clients etc
this time it's a new area altogether
