Could you supply a photo where we can see all of the lawn and not just the problem area. It's hard to tell anything from that pic
could have been a bit of fuaarium patch over the winter.
i did 2 lawns with turf from the same batch in the same day a few years ago, one had the problem, the other didn't - the one with the problem had poorer air flow, they both i felt at the time probably came in with the spores ready to go, but on one the conditions were not right.

Indeed. A friend of mine has a male Pointer-sized dog and his lawn looks as bad as that.

For information the dogs are Hungarian Vizsla and Jack Russell.
I have suggested he cordons off an area to see if it improves.
It's a tiny lawn so not much room for 2 dogs.
The dog I mentioned is a Viz, I'd be looking to them for the damage. We have two Viz bitches and the lawn is bad, but our friend's boy makes masses more damage.
