Monkey puzzle tree looks sick

A client of mine as a fantastic garden however her monkey puzzle tree is looking sick.
She says rabbits might have tried to nibble it.
All other plants and shrubs look OK in the garden.
Any tips to save or is it a goner

I know from experience that they don't like their roots to hang around in waterlogged soil for too long.

Needs well drained ground and also prefers a sandy acid soil.

  • my most loved tree allways looking at em

  • I had one that done that, luckily much smaller, but it was water logged! I believe its had it TBH.

  • +1, I've never seen them grow back from brown branches. The wet seasons we've had has done for a lot of Robinias around my area.

  • Has no one commented on the fact that it seems to have had the apical bud cut? It's been topped! An entry point for pathogens?
