Hi Craig,
I read a bit about it from google somewhere on google sites for webmasters.
I was actually very surprised that most sites yet designed mobile phones.
As they are saying that there are more mobile phone users than
computers owners already, and will at a point be internet users.
I am going to built a new website that will for sure have that +
many other facilities for conversions etc.
Had enough from the limits of a template site.
I think any website owner need to dig into this- if wish to improve online marketing.
Interesting to see that the howtogomo website has not been properly tested!!! Perhaps they need a Beta sticker?!
However, it is becoming an increasingly important area to look at. We are struggling with the navigation aspect and the website only has in the region of 100 pages...Initially I was hoping to redesign the main website with smaller images (with larger versions available) but that is looking like an impossibility. To date we seem to be looking at a slim line version of the main site, just covering the main topics and linking out to the main website for additional information...Whatever way we go it will be a long and difficult process, rather than an easy and quick solution.
Our stats have gone from 0 mobile visits PCM in October 2009 to around 500 PCM to date, so the numbers now start to matter whilst 6% doesn't sound high, that is still a lot of visitors who are probably having a bad user experience.
Just seen mention of this:

And it does seem to be an endless battle of design tweaks!
