Sounds too much like hard work that David, artificial gras is the way forward : )
It has its place mel but a 50 by 50 foot lawn (2,500 square feet) releases enough oxygen for a family of four, while absorbing carbon dioxide, hydrogen fluoride and perosyacetyle nitrate.
if we all went artificial we would be in trouble
Artificial grass on roofs, but anywhere else is wholy immoral, unjustifiable and an unmitigated 100% environmental disaster - recycled or not, its no different to concrete painted green... Its not a living surface with hundreds of kg of living matter, from protozoa, bacteria all the way up to the big stuff-the grass.
I've often thought about doing this as I always wonder how far I walk in a week of mowing.
After seeing this thread I've ordered a pedometer so we shall see
I may be adding alot more food to my diet as a result!
Sounds like a plan to me lol
