I hope this is the right forum, if not please excuse this post.
I want the following for a client's ride on mower and for my Echo PAS Multitool.
I've tried the local herberts who either are more interested in selling me new kit or not giving me all the info I need to order without me go to see them for a chat or in one case simply told me "I'm on lunch" as I stood in front of him having driven some mile to get there. (Can't imagine why we are in a recession).
ALKO Powerline Ride On Mower
Model T16-102HD-H (with HONDA GCV530 engine)
1 x Inline fuel filter
1ft x Fuel pipe
2 x Clips for the fuel pipe
ECHO PAS 265ES Multi Tool Strimmer Attachment
(The plastic spool, which the line is wound around, has been chewed up by strimming line over the past 4 years and I'm told ECHO don't supply this part on it's own).
1 x Universal Tap N Go strimmer head for this strimmer complete with adapter bolt, etc.
The serial number on the strimmer shaft has got damaged so all I can see is 350?683
ECHO PAS 265ES Multi Tool Power unit
Serial No(?) 37001531
1 x Spark Plug
1 x Air Filter
Any suggestions will be very much appreciated as I'm on holiday for a week starting next week so if I could order and recieve these during that time it would let me get straight back into action the following week,

Hi if you get stuck feel free to call me on 01225 774202 during working hours tomorrow. We can supply no problem. These are very standard parts.
Derek,
Really gald to hear from you.
I'll try my best to phone you.
Part (sic) of my problem is that I work 4 out of 5 days for clients in The Cotswolds where reception for mobile phones is poor to non existant and often the folk aren't at home so I can't use landline phones.
Thanks for such a quick and helpful reply,
Bern
Hi Bern, i see you've experienced the great British garden machinery suppliers in all their glory. How they get away with such incompetence/arrogance is totally beyond me.
Don't give up, there are a few good ones out there. They just take quite a bit of finding .
mike.
Hi Bern,
Just seen your email direct and I will process tomorrow for you.

- It may be of use to know...
The echo tools are the ones most commonly cloned by the chineese - the "Gardencare" "Mitox" and Sanli brand names are all chineese copys of early 2000's echo tools. The multi tool range of Mitox does fit the earlier Echo multi tools - though Im not sure about your exact model. May be a cheaper alternative of or good stopgop on ebay.
Avoid the engine units though, the chineese ones last a week or two in pro use.
Mike, David & Derek,
Many thanks for taking the time to reply.
Good to see I'm not alone in wondering why some people make it so difficult to take my cash. :)
Derek - Thanks for the update. I look foward to oping by parcel when I return from holiday week after next. If you need to get hold of me I'll be in Porlock with my mobile (oh and the wife, etc).

July 14th.
Status = ALKO Fuel filter, fuel pipe and clips plus ECHO spark plug and air filter all here when I got back from holiday.
Tap n'go universal head supposedly available from another local Echo dealer.
I went in Wednesday morning, showed them the original, placed my order & paid for parts. Went back in today as arranged - item comes in 2 parts, they only have 1 of them (the Bobbin/Spool) the other bit will 'probably' be in this comming Wednesday! Bearing in mind all I actually want is the plastic spool/bobbin for the original head. This is turning into a farce called "Ooo missus anyone want my business".
If anyone is trying to identify a business oportunity I'd suggest making garden machinery and the parts available. I've even been to a local engineer to make me a rigid shaft for the ECHO articulated hedge cutter so it can't be that hard to bolt a 2 stroke engine onto a hollow shaft and add a couple of tool heads?
To end on a positive note thankfully the ALKO ride on now goes without mising a beat.
If the grass grows any quicker I'm buying a machette :)
Hi Bern,
Glad the parts arrived safely. We can supply most bits but if you are looking for someone more local in an emergency I would try John at Cheltenham Mowers 01452 616169 as I am confident he would do what he can to help you.
Regards
Derek
Derek,
Thanks for your help.
John was my first try.

Current status.
Still not got the 2nd part (from Countax). Incidentally Chris Tallis are down as an ECHO dealer on the ECHO web site but they aren't in reality.
So have bought a new ECHO Strimmer attachment for £93 (Incl) from TheGrimReaper.
When it arrives I'm going to take a mould of the Bobbin and cast my own using a high density plastic.
