We have fixed the hedge trimming unit onto our pole saw occasionally, not recommended for the good of the machine or you - but it works!
You can change the head to a hedge cutter and end up with a monster long reach hedge cutter:)
I don't know where this notion that the Kombi system somehow adds a lot of weight to the arrangemant? It's literally a sleeve and a twist lock difference. The lighest longreach from stihl would be the KM94 and the hedgetrimmer attachment.
stihl hla85 extends to 3.3 metres
sure do chris i reserve it for the longest and widest of hedges only as its such a beast lol...i would use in it AP160 AP180 or AP200 or AP300 ( i have all of these batteries the only ones i wouldnt use are the lower capacity ones than this) it will chew through most hedge tops no bother...failing that i break out the long reach telescopic battery chainsaw pole pruner hta85 3.9 metres long fully extended lol, don't use either much day to day but when i need em, theyre there lol
Using sthil hedge trimmer angled at the moment not sure of the code wondered how it compared weight wise
yes pretty heavy compared to the other cordless hedge trimmers but maybe thats down to the sheer amount of tubing to make it so long, it reaches the parts other gardeners can't, you see
