It's clear from threads that the mass at LJN agree that networking is the way forward. But how many of you exspect work to fall into your laps just because you're part of a very powerful network / organisation ??Its all very well sitting behind your keyboards writing your blurbs and cluttering up google.Do other members actually get off their comfy swizzling computer chairs and actually present themselves to other members? You really cant beat a bit of face to face interaction, to date I've personally met with the following members, in no particular order.Andy LonsdaleDavid beasleyKerrie JohnClaudia de YongShadow Jewers HallKarl HarrisonGraeme MannSteve BowersNicky PattersonSteve LivermanSteve CallaghanMichael TompsonSimon FoxleyPhil CumberlandAnne WarehamLisa BeardHelen NockJoe ProudlyDave SewellStuart MarlerChris NangleSusan DunstallEco-Maze !!(T & S Plants) next weekTry not to sit back resting on your laurels and think that LJN blogs or being a member will bring you riches and glory..... Get out there and present yourself....It really does work you know, try it.If I've missed your name off my list and we've met please accept my sincerest,

I don't expect any work as a result of being a member of this forum.

Not many members up here in Yorkshire, but I am doing my best to recruit people.

What would be useful, is in member's profile some indication of Town, County or region.
Then I could identify someone local to me say within 50 miles and then we would have more chance of networking directly.
  • Maybe more meets should be organised.

I've met Robert Stoutzker when he popped down for a days fishing with me. I feel for me it would be great to meet up. Not only just to pass on words but to build a list of trades so that is a customer asks for example 'do you know or contruct decking' I can then put them in touch or arrange it with say Karl.
  • What was that ecomaze guy like Kerry, I hear he has a bit of a split personality :-)

Indeed he has Gary. But not to a degree where he's classified as the local nutter!
