LJN at its best

Last week I posted a reply on Phils thread "The perfect storm", I think it caught me on a bad moment and I had a bit of a rant about what a difficult month March had been mainly on a financial front,

I had a run of one thing after another (we all have them) which left me deflated for want of a better word.

Well I was honestly touched when I recieved a few messages from members offering support and advice,

You know who you are.

Id just like to say thank you very much, I deeply appreciated it.

This really illustrates what LJN is all about, I felt better just knowing that it's not just me against it all, everyone here has those times, and the fact that you took time to message me is just amazing.

I'm clawing it back this week as i thought i would, I just don't want another month like that.

Thanks again.

  • We all need somewhere to sound-off sometimes, and often just knowing that other peopls are having the same problems helps a bit. Glad to see you sounding positive again. Winter is always a nightmare for us; Christmas, tax due Jan 31st, accountant's charges, it all adds up when we're not working due to the weather, even in a good year. I plan things like the car and van service whilst I'm quiet, but of course then can't afford them.

Yesterday I was putting off a planting job as the ground was frozen, and there were snow flurries. This afternoon, I was in a t-shirt. My invoicing from November through to doing March's this week is the worst 5 months I've known in nearly 30 years. How do we plan around these conditions?

Gotta love this job......I couldn't imagine doing anything else, but it does get to you sometimes!

  • Hi Andy, glad things are picking up! We've had a bit of a frustrating week this week with one thing and another but hey ho; try and keep the old chin up. But it does get you down from time to time. It's good to talk as they say :)
