Liquid gasket alternative to Threebond 1207B

that is the official Honda stuff, but it aint cheap, i need to reseal the valve cover on my GCV160 (Etesia Pro46) after removing it to check the valve clearances.
Anyone know of or used anything comparable?
I understand that this stuff is highly flexible and strong, it certainly took some removing, but surely similar stuff for a car engine will be just as good for a lawn mower!

    Hermetite instant gasket, about £5. Should be able to find it in any car parts shop.

    Went for this in the end Loctite 5910 as it appears to be very similar to the Honda stuff and crucially it is suitable for use in constant oil contact, which on a GCV160 is important because the valve cover doubles as part of the oil sump!
