Leaflet marketing

Good morning all, I've had a great deal of help on here and the LJN network has already proved to be excellent source of info. So here we go! As the season isn't in full flow and I'm a new start up, work is thin on the ground, as such I'm gonna be leafleting over the next few weeks. As the grass isn't growing I'm gonna to get as much driveway maintenance and jet washing as possible. Should I leaflet solely for jet washing work or have that as part of a leaflet advertising general maintenance work? Thanks everyone in advance.

  • Hi james, I would make it a prominent part of a general leaflet. Have a paragraph top and bottom with description and contact details and then some bullet point services in the main body

  • hi james
i would market all the services that you offer at this stage in the season to get your name known, then in 6 weeks time use more specific leaflets.have you thought about adding fence painting ideal as plants arent in the way at this time of year.
in my experience people also dont think of drive maintenace until after easter, its different if you have a existing data base to offer that service too.
    good luck

  • Great advise guys....the reason i was planning on using smaller bathches of leaflets was to be able to test run a few different designs and test the water so to speak. My initial thought was to offer a Pre-spring clean deal in which i could post directly to potential clients that i noticed while passing were in need. Is this idea in your opinions totally crazy or just a little naive. I have noticed while working for my previous employer as peak surfacing ltd has said that the calls for jetwashing and re-sanding dont generally come in till after easter...but this often isnt the most desirable time to get the work and can get in the way a little... any other suggestions?

Can you show us a copy of your leaflet?

  • Hi Geoffrey, unfortunatly ive made the mistake of not keeping any reverance to my last mailshot at all so i realise it's difficult to comment when you are effectivly in the dark. It's rather the concept of leafleting for particular services rather than overall general maintenance that i was unsure of. I will be sure to pass my upcoming mailshot idea's around the LJN to get feed back and will get them on as soon as i have them in order. Thanks for your input guys.
