About the Landscape Juice Network

Founded in 2008. The Landscape Juice Network (LJN) is the largest and fastest growing professional landscaping and horticultural association in the United Kingdom.

LJN's professional business forum is unrivalled and open to anyone within within the UK landscape industry

LJN's Business Objectives Group (BOG) is for any Pro serious about building their business.

For the researching visitor there's a wealth of landscaping ideas, garden design ideas, lawn advice tips and advice about garden maintenance.

A regular private client of mine has a drainage issue following on from the extensive Landscaping to their new build house approx 2 yrs ago.

I took over the maintenance contract from the existing firm who subbed out much of the work including the maintenance.

Large expanses of lawn and planting beds are waterlogged and many plants are dying. The actual hard landscaping is OK but planting & drainage is amateurish to be polite.

All standing water from large patios drains into steeply sloped beds which run into lawns. Subsoil is compacted sand and probably clay under that being typical of this area.

It's a large job and a job beyond my capabilities to put it right so if anyone is willing to have a look please let me know.

  • Hi Richard,

TN15 - East of Sevenoaks? I can come and have a look for you if you want. I am at Oxted, Junction 6 of the M25. Sounds like they could benefit from som land drains or sok-a-way crates.

Give me a call if you want. 07879 028 988

  • Hello,

What happened in the end to rectify this problem? I think I have a similar problem on a garden I am putting down two patios before planting quite a few plants.

I need to solve it before I finish the patio and plant or I suapect all the plants will die.

    cheers

    Justin
