It was for a medium sized, well-established landscape contractor in East Yorkshire that mainly specialises in fencing but also has its own garden centre and so obviously does run of the mill hard and soft landscaping too.
I phoned them up about the job and almost immediately they asked me what salary I would expect, I said for a Landscape Manager post I would expect £20K upwards - they almost laughed at me over the phone.
I did explain to them in during the brief conversation that I had previously had a Contract Supervisor job in Hull that was about £18k but I suspect they didn't beleive me......
