I've seen it being pushed quite aggressively on Instagram looks like Kress are sending out quite a few bits of kit out to prominent gardeners with good follower numbers etc. From what I've seen though it looks a very good selection think they'll definitely be a big player in the battery range in the future.
We looked at these and yes they seem well built mowers but the ego is cheaper has 3 year commercial warranty which includes the batteries and charger ( 5 year domestic) the Kress only has 1 year commercial warranty so we went with the ego.
How do u find the ego is it worthy for commercial use
The Kress battery system seems capable of extremely fast charging, maybe a unique selling point. Had a quick look online and it appears the brand is owned by Positec these days. Which is a big resourceful company well acquainted with shifting millions of power tools. We have come a long way since a decade ago when most folk were laughing at garden battery kit, because, it must be crap, surely, lol
The view I take with cordless mowers in particular but same view I take with petrol mowers is to match the machines capabilities to the job in hand .
It's only a bad machine if it does not meet my expectations within it's remit but I will be the first to call myself an idiot if I try and push any machine beyond its capabilities .
A cordless bundle I bought Four years ago costing under £500 included a mower ,blower ,hedge trimmer 3x batteries and 3 x chargers is still working as good as new obviously not my main kit but treated with respect with regards to it's limitations it's proved reliable and gives good performance
Or... when at SALTEX last year, I looked at Cramer mower & tools. Hosted a demo at work last week, and had the use of a couple of the mowers for the rest of the week.
Strong chassis, good cut ( twin rotary, mulch plug or bag collect ), good battery life & fast recharging. Good price too. Reckon we're going shopping
Sounds like the Cramer mower must be an updated improvement on the old 21 inch Greenworks 80 Volt single blade lawnmower from a few years back then (made by the same people Globe Group) as I didn't rate that one at all, compared to other battery mowers that I use
I've gone across to Milwaukee as I already had quite a few Milwaukee power tools, bought the commercial battery mower last year and that has been really solid and robust, even cuts wet grass quite well. (only criticism is that shortest cutting height is 25mm, which is fine for me but had a customer moan it wasn't short enough despite me explaining it's better for the grass).
Invested in the multi tool quick lock hedge trimmer/pole chainsaw. Again it's very well made and robust, easily comparable with Stihl tools.
