The best way to decide how the weather will effect your work is to get up in a morning walk out the door and take it from there.
It also helps to use good products, especially 'total' pesticides that are rain fast with an hour or two.
It allows you to take advantage of short 'windows' of opportunities, even if it does consequently take longer to be effective.
