Invoicing software - any recomendations??

Does anybody have any simple, easy to use (preferably free!) invoicing software that they use or know of that they can recommend? I have just downloaded a free version of sage and it doesnt look like it is going to be very useful. I am struggling to find a program that lets you input a service, rather than a reacurring product with a single value. I need to generate the same invoice evry month for some customers (contracts) and then one off unique invoices for others. If you dont know of any, do you know where I can look???many thanks :o)

I've been looking at a couple of online services:

    http://www.freeagentcentral.com/

    http://www.kashflow.co.uk/

Both paid for but not too expensive and seem to be very simple to use
  • Hi Niko

have a look at "Express Invoice". There is a free version or you can pay for the full version. The free version does everything I need, generates same invoice every month, can email invoice direct, generate quotes, can add your own logo. The only problem is it is designed for product lines as apposed to services so you can not type in descriptive text without generating a quantity require and cost field. If you don't mind inserting a zero in the fields then it is OK. Very easy to use

This is exactly what i do and keep up to date copies on the hard drive and on a usb memory stick.

For accounts i use diy accounting which uses Excel for spreadsheets all set out as needed. There is also an invoice included but admit i have'nt even looked at it!
  • I think iam going backwards i still use my trusty duplicate invice books.

    Oh dear
  • nothing wrong with that! I'm just lazy and want to press a button!
