Investing in a Etesia Mower

My old Rover mower has just about run its self into the ground so its time to start looking into buying a new one. The general opinion seems to be to go for the Etesia Pro which i hope is good in wet conditions. Has anybody got any information on the differences between the 5  models in the 46 range + a price guide.

Many Thanks

The prices for vairous PRO46 models are on this page - You can compare the different features between them too.

I have the Pro46 PHTS model which I use on smaller gardens and in wet weather - Perfect everytime. I think all the comments on this site regarding the quality of Etesia mowers are spot on - I always doubted them till I took the plunge - To be able to cut in the rain and leave a good finish is worth ££££ in saved time and I think it could be one of the few brands of mower where the whole cost is recouped in the extra ability it has over the competition.

I use a 21" Snapper for dry weather work and larger gardens which is just as good but anything other than morning dew clogs it up.

    hi neal

the etesia range were/are built for collection this means they cut and collect in very wet conditions.

the pro46 range is as follows

PHE = honda engine - push mower the basic pro46

PHB = same as above only fitted with a blade brake system

PHG = same as PHE but fitted with a rotax long range tank

PHTS = honda engine - single speed self drive mower (able to have the speed up mod if need)

PHTB = honda engine - vairiable speed - blade brake

PBTS = briggs engine - single speed (speed up kit can be fitted)

PBE = briggs engine - push mower

PKTB = kawasaki engine - vairiable speed - blade brake

all can be fitted with the pr46e kit which is a mulching blade and incert plate

as for prices i can forwerd you a pricelist etc but its always best going to you closest dealer, there you can arange a demo and see the machines working.

if you wanted to know any thing else please feel free to ask/post

    regards

  • Thanks for the very useful information.

  • The more the base cost the better the mower hence why you buy a speed up kit for the Briggs engine single speed

  • What does the speed up kit do? Does it speed up the engine revs or make it variable speed transmission?
  • PRO

its just a slightly bigger taper pully and belt to increse the transmission speed, the machines will still be single speed but just a quicker walking speed than factory spec

  • How much is this particular kit? I would be quite interested in it - Also Google doenst seem to be able to find me a price for the Mulching conversion for the 46 - IM looking at getting a PHE and turning it into a mulcher for use on some verges and areas of rough grass behind some buildings. (I know im asking alot! sorry!)

    PR46E current price is = £49.00

as for speed up kit its not something we at etesia sell on the shelf its something which would be sourced froma bearing supplier and fitted your self or by dealer etc, i have put the spec of the parts needed on a post some were i think maybe in the etesia group when i get time i will find it or re post, but you would not need this for a phe mower as there is no drive on this mower

  • I bought  all the parts Neil said I needed local for around £10.00

    Neal

My mower shop seems to think all the parts plus labour for the speed up kit will come to over £100. This seems rather a lot to me?

Why do you not sell the kits direct?
