Industry Literature

hi all

ive got my first deck and my first patio as a self employed landscaper coming up in about 6 weeks (previously stuck to soft landscaping and gardening). I’ve been researching the crap out of the subjects and have been doing solely hard landscaping jobs for a company out in Melbourne, Australia for the last 12 months.

I feel prepared and ready to go but I’m having trouble finding books on decking and patios and hard landscaping in general written by U.K. based authors. I’ve got a few by some Americans but their units, laws and jargon are all different which is only going to cause confusion. Does anyone know any good books/authors  on the stated subjects.

Thanks, Josh

Tony McCormack’s book - Driveways, Paths & Patios is probably considered one of the best Bibles around.

  • Michael Littlewood’s Landscape Detailing Series is very impressive, if a bit expensive for the set. I foolishly sold my set as I thought it was gathering dust, I got about £40 per book 2nd hand!
