  • hi Craig sorry to hear that, done a few down here in East Midlands area already. But that is with a very lightweight mower and not taking much off. but the lawns look a lot better for it. Any near mature trees are infested with twigs and small branches from the storms, requiring some clearing of the worst before can attempt to mow.

  • Just put your feet up and enjoy the break................it goes far to quickly for me.........  you'll be going flat-out in a few weeks.

  • Same here in Leigh/Stockport. Not too bothered as been mental busy with other works

  • I'm mowing tomorrow and Friday supposedly... 'Heavy snow showers' being the mornings forecast and rain within every day thereafter. Need to get some grass off for sure so they can dry out at some point.

    • Out of today's 14, against all odds l did 16! Two from tomorrow squeezed in given a devistating forecast.

All are clay here also. Three lawns were super soft in places, but with more weather due cutting is more beneficial than not cutting sometimes. Surprised by how good some were off a sole bright and breezy day.

  • We've mowed a couple here in Warrington but many of our regulars are on clay and are too wet.  They do need cutting but are just too boggy.  Plenty of other work in the gardens though so still very busy.

  • Not aimig to start for another couple of weeks , still way too wet underfoot

  • Cut a few twice already.

lovely sandy soil here, coastal North norfolk

All lawns are growing here in Wiltshire, but most are just too boggy to even consider putting a commercial mower on. This is the best one ..... water is standing on the lawn inside the red circles but there is a  definate need for a mow, but completely flooded by the "streams" on both sides. These form a complete lake to the left of the picture, turning the lawn into a river! Needs mowing though!3953414856?profile=RESIZE_930x

  • As I recall, exactly the same as last 2 years. Jan and Feb and half of March are (time off). Fair play to the lads that have enough other tasks to keep a living wage coming in
