  • I pay about £350 - 400 but mine covers loads such as machinery up to £250,000 a piece on site. Its with RBS as I am a natwest customer. I believe I am not covered if im off due to injury or sickness, I will have to check.

I think there is another discussion about this somewere too.

NFU for all insurance all done automaticly by DD. Cant remeber all the prices off hand but as ive been with them for ages and hold multiple policys they are very good on all (mutual discount).

Customer service in my experience is spot on also and local offices and no indian call centres.
  • About £90 for public liability with 5m cover.

    £850ish for the van.

And the house insurance was upped an extra £4k cover for my tools at no extra cost.

Van and PL are with direct line.

Looked at Direct Line for Pl but discovered in the small print that I was not covered if I used tools that were noisier than 90 dB.

NFU for me. £600 including tree work to 6m and illness for me and the wife.

Wish my insurance was as cheap as you guys, alright im young and probably carry more insurance than i need but my pl and trade and tools is over 900 and my van is over 900. The joys of being yound I guess.

    P.s never had a claim
  • Mine is £79ish for public liability.
  • Hi GGGS,

Have you thought about how much public liability cover you are looking for? This will be one of the main driving forces behind the price. With us (Simply Business) another aspect that's considered is how long you have been trading self employed as well as your claims history. You can also get tools cover and if you have employees, legally you will need employers liability cover.

If You have any queries please feel free to send me direct message or via http://ow.ly/3PBDu

    Kind Regards

    Tim
