How many calories burned in a days work?

I haven't worked this out but I'm guessing it adds up to a lot in a day, mowing grass, lifting wheelbarrrow, hedgecutting etc. Sometimes I don't eat and drink enough through the day. Try to make a lunch but sometimes it's off to the shop for lunch and now and again a Mcdonalds.

    3-500 per hour depending on how hard a graft it is.

    Some days I walk 15 miles behind the hayter at 3 mile an hour,

    Get hold of a cheap pedometer and it is stunning what distance you walk in a day, let alone a week in our jobs.....

    I think some of the more advanced ones also provide calorific stats as well.....

    I was amazed how many miles I walk in a day when I used a pedometer. Half marathon a day at least.

    Still a fat bloke though. :-(

    I think it's the beer. There must be something in it that isn't burned off by garden work....
