How do you put your Iron on lawns (not the golf type)

How or what do you use to apply FE / Ferrous Sulphate /Soluble Iron or Iron Sulphate to your lawns.

I am using a cooper pegler at present with a RED anvil tip (Yes I have PA1/6) It does do the job however would I be better with a Green nozzel  giving 3.2 litres/minute or some other method or product all together.

I have not started this years applications yet they begin mid November however I am preparing now.

    as long as you follow the manufacturers recommendation and measure your flow rate per meter and its to there spec you should be fine. depending on your application size a knapsack sprayer should be fine, try using a medium nozzle..

    I was applying Ferromel straight from a fertiliser spreader for ease of use (it was cheap and cheerful). Can't say i would recommend it. Way to easy to burn the grass. 

    I don't plan to use Ferromel again, this winter I'm doing a bit of a spoon feed mix.

    And i will probably mix in a little sulphate of ammonia as well.

    I use an iron product you can dilute with cups per knapsack sprayed on using a black flat fan nozzle about 100m per tank i think.
