You can syringe it in as well not that I've done it
Have a read of this Edward: http://landscapejuicenetwork.com/forum/topics/how-to-kill-the-roots...
Glyphospate travels through the plants circulatory system to kill the roots. The leaf application is just the point of entry for a spray. If you use the plugs you tap directly into the vascular system. No drift, no mixing and handy if you have no canopy.
I'm surprised this wasn't covered in your PA1/6?
It makes sense now you say it about tapping into the vascular system. No I don't remember any mention of these plugs when I taken my PA1 and PA6 in 2008. Then again it was a pretty intense couple of days. Thanks for the advice.
It's not surprising as it depends on when the PA1/PA6 was taken, many earlier courses did not cover them (mine certainly didn't).
This is where the industry needs easily accessible Update Courses without re-sitting complete "suite of tests".
New ideas, new products, new procedures appear and it is generally left to the individual to consume via CPD - something which is hard to do when running a business full time.
It is a shame some of this can not be provided as online courses......
Hi everyone,
It might also be worth noting at this point that you should have a PA6 PP certificate to actually apply Eco Plugs which is an extra part to the normal PA6 certificate. The PP stands for pesticide plug!
