The French have often found themselves the butt of many jokes when it comes to frogs legs and snails.
If the truth be told - and I can speak from personal experience - both frogs legs and snails are highly nutritious and very flavoursome. Snails are especially a favourite of mine.
I once hung a dozen snails in a stocking to purge them with the intention of eating them but forgot them and I never did. The fascination, and intention, remains.
I also considered snail farming as a possibility for business but life took a different turn;)
Well for us gardeners it seems there's an opportunity snail farmers just can’t keep up with demand from British diners.
I'm sure there are many people who'd feel sick at the prospect but I seriously do think that there's a fantastic opportunity for many gardeners to diversify and earn money along the way.
So, instead of throwing down harmful snail and slug pellets, why not make the most of this plentiful garden pest.

If done properly I think snails are amazing. Snails should not be chewy, they should have a similar consistency and texture to a firm mushroom.

It's essential to served piping hot.
