Garden petrol tool breakers?

As I get myself established I'm selling my crap tools and buying husqvarna/Stihl/John Deere tools, albeit old used ones. They need some love and parts are expensive. Anyone know of parts breakers please?

  • There are places that supply pattern parts that are much cheaper than genuine  eg http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Tree-and-Grass-Spares/Stihl-MS261-MS260-02... and   http://www.gardenhirespares.co.uk/c/stihl_parts.      You can often find a secondhand part by doing an Ebay search.

    • Thank you Geoff, that's really good to know, cheers :)

Try harrythecat on eBay (on here too)
L and s engineers are good too
  • You do need to be careful.  I bought a stihl 0-90 gearbox from a parts breaker & it was in worse condition that the one I tool off.

  • LS engineers and abbey garden tools are really good.

    • Thanks much lay fellas, alas and Abbey are great, duly shortcut tied now, thx again :)
