garden fete

Hi

I know it's a little late for this year, but I'm wondering has anyone ever set up a stall at their local garden or country fete to advertise their products and services?

  • Its funny you should ask this question because, my partner has just put forward and idea whether we should start selling plants on our local markets every month, not so much to make lots of money obviously enough to cover our cost plus a degree of profit, but more to grow our presence in our local town and create more awareness of our business with clever marketing and branding ? . It would be great to know whether this kind of marketing/idea would work ?

  • I think it would be a great idea Robbie. I did something similar at a small fete/church garden party. I remember it broke the ice with a few people who ‘had been thinking of having some work done for ages and never got round to it’. Getting to know them on the day lead to a couple of enquiries and then jobs. Apart from anything else - it was fun!
