i tend to bang mine when i empty it. can't ever claim to have considered washing it.
if you can find something big enough to wash it in, then i guess warm soapy water would work fine
I've used a pressure washer on mine, many times with no problems. Perhaps there is a risk of damaging the bag if you use too high pressure.... I always hold the nozzle a reasonable distance from the bag.
I've pressure-washed my Honda bags for many years. The difference is makes to collection is dramatic, and I've never had them suffer any damage. I have a small, cheap machine for things like this, one of the £50 B&Q specials. Wash it from the outside, it just increases the airflow by unblocking all the tiny holes. I have two bags and alternate them so it gets a chance to dry properly.
Common sense using jet washer or Hose with good gun will be fine.
Beware that a commercial washer jet applied close up with narrow nozzle can slice thru an amazing amount of materials/products
i seem to recall reading the paperwork that came with it, they talked about the bag as if it were a consumable, you know, 'any damage replace, inspect before each days use' sort of thing
my bag is 6 years old and still in good condition, but it i rarely cut grass now.
maybe i'll give it a pressure wash some time :)
After 8-9 yrs the bag finally holed on my Honda 536 QXE Pro Roller, £70 for just the nylon fabric and the plastic base
If anyone is after a replacement bag for a 21" Honda/Kaaz mower, I can recommend these copies that someone has had made. Bought one last year on Ebay ... half price of genuine one......excellent quality and black so doesn't show the dirt! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REPLACEMENT-GRASS-COLLECTION-BAG-FOR-HOND...
I run two older Hondas, a HR194 and a HR214, I learnt the hard way and blew a hole in the bag of the 214 with a pressure washer, It has since just fell to bits,
Trick is not to hold the nozzle too close to the bag,

I fire up the compressor and blow it out. No wet grass to clear up afterwards is a major bonus.
