Etesia UK have joined Landscape Juice

Hi all

my name is Neal barker

thanks to an invite to join the site both the general manager Les malin and my self have accepted with pleasure to make the time to be able to help out in any way we can.

we will be poping on to join in with discussionss and will hopefully be able to solve the problems you guys are having, the general feeling i think is that you all agree the etesia range is a great product but you all seem to be getting a hard time on the after sale’s side with some of our dealers and mostly trying to get hold of the operators books or parts list's which is why i have come on here, i look after all aspects of the after sales for both our main product etesia and the new line of pelenc tools.

even though I have all the time for when an end user calls me direct instead of a dealer I do get the impression that they feel they shouldn't and its not really OK to call the manufacturer-importer direct, so now I would like to say on here that if its through email / forum / call or carrier pigeon I will respond as soon as I possibly can and both myself and Les welcome all feedback from you the end user good or bad because we cant fix it if we don’t know its broken.

thanks to this site I think we can all work together in the public view to make a good product even better

so any problems or comments you guys would like to make or need help with lets get going

regards

Neal barker

    Hi Neal

Welcome to Landscape Juice Neal...and thanks for joining us.

Etesia's decision to join (rather than shy away) and get involved with their clients is a credit to your company and represents the latest in companies who've taken this stance and decided to deal with the people who buy their products.

I find it so refreshing to see interaction where there might have been (and this isn't levelled at Etesia necessarily) a standard PR approach - indeed, not that long ago, there wasn't even an opportunity for this kind of relationship.

I hope Etesia can build upon its brand in this way.

It really is my pleasure phil

with the way the internet has evolved over the years and social networking becoming part of every day life I couldn’t think of another better platform to be able to help people than this site and I hope that us getting involved is going to push other brands to jump on the wagon because using the excuse that a forum is to public is not going to stop people posting there disappointment about the company or products low points, at least being part of it you have a chance to put things right and the end user has the chance to voice there opinions and ideas and know you have taken notice

again a very big thank you for his opportunity

    regards

  • Hello and welcome from me too.  I have tested some of the etesia's and will be purchasing one or two as soon as it comes time to renew our current mowers.

It's very reassuring to have you join the network.

Who would like to see Etesia exhibit at Creating Landscapes?

I don't want to put Etesia under any undue pressure but who feels it would be beneficial for both LJN members and Etesia if they pitched up with an assortment of their products?

Let's have a straw poll and maybe we can persuade Etesia to come.

  • Whcih thread is that Colin? I can't find the answer but would love to know.

thank you to all so far for the warm welcome

just to put a quick reply on for adrian about the roller mowers

as Les said in the other reply Etesia are not looking to go into the roller market to date but no one knows what could happen to the market, one thing i am able to add though is that for a couple of the ride on mowers in our range our very good dealer RT Machinery make there own roller kits and are happy to help with a couple of other extra mods they do so it might be worth a quick look at there site if anyone is looking for something like that.

    regards

    Neal,

Welcome to the forum. I think it would be beneficial to enter the rear roller market. In fact I would go as far as saying it is myopic on your firms' part not to. Most clients in the residential market expect a striped lawn. You are therefore alienating all landscapers that operate in this market. (I personally am not interested in the commercial market. Residential clients are much more loyal and much less sensitive to price). Moreover domestic end users tend to mimic ‘pro’ users. How many Diy’ers to you see with Makita and DeWalt drills because that’s what the tradesmen use? So you are limiting your ability to achieve substantial market share in the domestic market as well. I have a number of Hayter 56’s. I don’t particularly like them but I want a big mower with a rear roller so I don’t have much choice. I hear and read very good reviews of your products and would happily purchase a rear rollered machine supplied by you if you manufactured such a thing. I hope you receive valuable feedback as a result of being involved in this forum and are able to take action on some of it. Now where is the rep from Paslode, Hitachi and Makita? The first firm to manufacture a cordless nail gun that fires galvanised, ring spun nails (not brads) from 25mm to 47mm though a coil nailer will mop up the market in the fencing industry

    Regards,

    Charlie

  • I agree with Charlie

Its sending me nuts having to buy a Viking (2nd only to etesia) because I know if I was to spend my mower budget on an Etesia Mr & Mrs client  would say we want strips.

I have a Hayter 56 and Hayter 48 I feel they are not fast enough no good in damp never mind wet just do not  compete

  • + 1 Here for a roller pedestrian.  I use Honda HRH 536 pro ATM.  Would be keen to try an alternative of similar/higher build quality.

Agree Charles about the nailers - Need 25mm nail to fix crappy waney panels, could also use 30mm for FE boarding instead of 41mm I use now.  I just cba carrying compressor and 'hosed' nail gun!

Really progressive companies should make the most of internet based research opportunties.  When we are sat on the pc we don't mind answering questions, giving opinions etc if it results in better tools, plant and machinery...
