Any (expensive) kit bought and disposed off in a relatively short cycle will show considerable depreciation. However if written off over 4 or 5 years, then should be less of a problem.
Too many commercial contractors, Etesia is a known & recognisable 'quantity'. A large number of local authorities and FM's exclusively use Etesia's
They are a very big JD dealer in the area, but have an array of different make equipment that has been part exchanged. Granted they 1st and foremost want to sell their brand, and thats what people go there for. Last year they had a Etesia Hydro 124 with hi lift tip, that was two years old, mint condition and went for less that £8k. I do not know of any contractors or councils in my area that use anything other that JD ride ons, but a few that use pedestrian mowers. Also the parts difference, I have two small ride on's 30". I bought a new blade for the JD yesterday as I needed one, and bought a spare blade today for my Etesia, as I keep one spare because they bend so easy.
John Deere £19.27 + vat
Etesia £43.00 + vat
Only one Etesia dealer in South Wales, and that is a 60 mile round trip.
Have you look at Oregon replacement blades - as good/better ?
