EGO Battery Mower

I have a small Viking mower which has had a lot of use on smaller lawns - no fuel to spill/fill. Quiet and light. Must say I really like it.

I saw the Ego Rep at the event at the NEC and I must say I was impressed by their mower - at around £550 inc batter and charger and 3 year commercial warranty I am very tempted. Any one got one, tried one, concidered one, decided against one?

Thanks

Ian

  • We bought one last year and I thought we might not use it much but we use it loads, don’t compare to a Honda Pro or high spec mower but depending what you want it’s quite good. We use it on poorer Lawn areas, running around edges and most of the small lawns. We bought the more expensive one and found you need 2-3 batteries as you gradually catch up with them as each one last 1-2 hours.  Great on sloping gardens where petrol mowers hate life! I’d buy another if I needed to.

  • We're thinking about getting one this year for smaller lawns.  A lot lighter than our Honda and Cobra petrol mowers.  Seen some really good reviews of the Ego - pleased to see someone has used one as a pro and found it good value for the type of thing we want to use it for.

    • Im particularly impressed that it has a 3 year professional use warranty! Dont even get that with the high end trade products

  • Forgot to add the most important thing is to keep the blade sharp or your battery time is reduced.
