Dropped a nut on a job custom panels

I've spoke with my local fencing supplier last week they said a week turn around on a custom panel however now there saying it will take longer. My customer goes away on the 1st wants them doing before then I've rang elsewhere no one wants the work or quoted a silly price any suggestions I would make them myself but I don't have a clue also she wants the tops bowedPics of the jobhttp://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii85/beasty2/Mobile%20Uploads/24F3056A-17B2-457A-8BA8-B15BFA5BC25F_zpsxrln5gy3.pnghttp://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii85/beasty2/Mobile%20Uploads/1B2177A9-D2A2-4DE5-8747-61DF7B964ED0_zpspt7lekjq.jpgPanels areWidths264cm260.3cm260.5cmHeight110cm centre of the bow

  • There's 2 options really. Explain to the client that the lead time has increased due to the manufacturer not being able to make the panels until x date so you can't do it until then. Or take the hit for the extra cost and just get the job done in the time frame.

I don't get the first pic, is it of your Facebook advert or something?

If it is at the front of the property does the customer really NEED it done by the 1st or is that what they WANT?

I think you would be better to tell her your supplier has let you down than try and make something if you are not confident or experienced.
  • See customer has just been a pain from beginning old lady I was kind on price I was getting a lot of phone calls to sort everything in one day it first had privets inbetween posts which I removed then cut the iron work out . I've only charged her £210 labour for fitting removal rubbish rail removal and £100 for the panels.

A local joiner who does benches and sheds has offered to do them but has to do them on site willing to fit and make them for £100 the battons are there on the wall so it's quite simple now I guess? Should I do this his lead time is less than the manufactueres
  • If its still within budget go for it.
