I had a very bad experience with this stuff four years ago, whereby it broke up badly with all the foot traffic, and the colour rubbed off after about 12 months, causing black marks to children's hands and clothes.

At the time we were told by the company, who very quickly went under, that it was manufacturing fault. I swore I would never use a similar product again.

Yesterday we were in a local park and the council has coated a mound surrounding a slide with similar stuff. Not made by the same company but I know its only been in situ for about 8 months and its in exactly the same state, with various patches and the colour all wearing off, leaving black marks on hands etc. I have also seen it in other parks where the same thing has happened

So my question is, is it just a compete no hoper of a concept/product, or has anyone any experience of this stuff actually being used in a nursery or play area, where it has actually lasted?
